Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 “ideally” requires 64 GB of RAM on your PC

Microsoft has revealed the best PC specs for budding pilots hoping to step into the cockpit when Fight Simulator 2024 releases in November.

Using cloud streaming, the install size has been reduced to a tiny 30GB. However, Microsoft believes you'll need a whopping 64GB of RAM to run at the “ideal” specs, along with 12GB of VRAM, an RTX 4080, the 14700K, and a 100Mbps internet connection.

However, the minimum specifications are probably much more affordable, with at least 10 Mbps and 16 GB of RAM recommended.

However, all versions require Direct X version DX12 and 50 GB of available storage space.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is already shaping up to be a breeze, but don’t forget that for the first time ever, players will be able to eject from the cockpit (hopefully safely) and wander around.

In addition to every airport, the team has now added glider airports, every oil rig, and every lighthouse in the world. That's along with “hundreds of animal species running around,” and they're also simulating “every ship on Earth” with their transponder signals, which you can land on.

“I think we’re in a new era of game creation that I think is going to break new ground in terms of scale and complexity,” Jorge Neumann, head of Microsoft Flight Simulator, said recently.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be available for PC and Xbox Series X/S on November 19.
