Key Takeaways

  • FCC and Wireless Power Consortium listings for the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE confirm that its launch is imminent.
  • The device offers 15W wireless charging and 25W wired charging, just like the previous model.
  • Expect a familiar design with triple rear cameras, a punch-hole front camera, flat sides, and possibly a larger display.

With both the global and US-exclusive versions of Samsung's upcoming Fan Edition S24 already submitted to the FCC, the mid-range device is all but confirmed, and with it also listed on Samsung's support page and the Institute of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site, we expect the device to be unveiled sometime in October.

To further solidify its existence, the device was spotted stopping by the Wireless Power Consortium, which as a byproduct provided us with more information about the device.

91mobiles has spotted the certification listing for this mid-range device bearing model number SM-S721U, which is a US-only version of the device, and for reference, here's a quick breakdown of the model numbers by region:

  • SM-S721U = United States
  • SM-S721B = Europe
  • SM-S721W = Canada
  • SM-S721N = Korea

According to the certification listing, the upcoming Fan Edition device will offer the same 15W wireless charging as its predecessor and the flagship S24. Previous reports from sources such as Korea Testing Laboratory (KTC) have highlighted that the phone will offer 25W wired charging, which is also in line with the wired charging capabilities of the S23 FE and the flagship S24. The device will reportedly be equipped with a 4,565mAh battery.

Familiar design

Meanwhile, the FCC listing has already revealed live images of the S24 FE, while the Wireless Power Consortium listing has provided some clear renders of the device. As expected, the device will feature a triple rear camera setup with an LED flash right next to the cameras, as well as a punch-hole selfie camera on the front. The device is expected to feature the same front and rear cameras as its predecessor, but it may have flatter sides and a larger display at 6.7 inches. There are no reports that the S24 FE will have a larger chassis, so the Fan Edition device may have thinner bezels to accommodate a larger display.

The device will also reportedly feature a whopping 9W reverse wireless charging, up from the previous maximum of 4.5W, and will be priced in India starting at Rs 50,000 (approximately US$595), making it slightly more affordable than its predecessor. The device, likely to launch in October, will reportedly come in black, grey, light blue, light green, and yellow colour variants. While the device looks attractive on paper, only time will tell if it makes it onto the list of the next top mid-range devices.
